      • A Labyrinth may offer you just the divine inspiration that you need

        Labyrinth of Failure by Chris Hackett and Eleanor Lovinsky

        Have you ever walked a Labyrinth? There's one at a church near our home and it helped me to author this inspiration:

        THE LABYRINTH OF LIFE

        Life is like a large Labyrinth---Running continually to and fro;
        Each morning I ask the Master---"Just which way should I go?"
        One day I'm closer to the center---But the next day out on the edge'
        The pattern continually winds and turns--Like an ever-greening hedge.

        Days turn into longer weeks---And weeks simly spin into years;
        But still I'm on the Labyrinth of Life, experiencing both smiles and tears.
        Then one day when I'm much older--
        The divine core center I shall find;
        I'll make a couple of turns more---finding my Center Core is--Jesus Christ!

      • The Bible holds the inspiration of the Ages

        a joyful song, and another ten things

        When I need creative inspiration, I go to the Books of Psalms and Proverbs in the Bible. They never fail to inspire me to go successfully forward. I love the wise words of Dr.Billy Graham:" The Bible teaches that with Christ in your heart you can face the realities of life. The grace of God will give you greater joy and pleasure than any dream world to which you may try to escape."

    • Writing Gospel Music
      • It's a great feeling to be a published author-musician!

        music notes with violin key

        Yes, when I was in Southwestern University as a music minor, I wrote the words to a Gospel Song: "When Jesus Died for Me". The singer Twila Paris's father wrote the tune and published it with Inspiration Publishers in Ft.Worth.
        It was produced in both sheet music and published in a Gospel Quartet Song Book.
        It was recorded by several music groups.Maybe that's
        WHY I love Gospel Music so much!

    • Do I need coffee to wake up in the morning?
      • My Cock-a-Doodle Coffee

        coffee cup of the week

        MY ODE TO COFFEE
        I can hear sunrise rooster crowing
        Calling me briskly to rise on up?
        The best part of waking up---
        -----Is hot Coffee in my cup!
        Coffee Beans are now fresh roasting
        Tempting me with them to sup---
        The best part of waking up---
        ----Is hot Coffee in my Cup! (SLURP)

        Weird School Bus

        My wife Dolly and I volunteer as mentors as a local elementary school here in our city. We have lunch each week with our assigned student and enjoy answering questions they may have. Some of their parents are stationed overseas in the military, and others are in prison for whatever reasons and are not living at home. It is a joy to be a volunteer in this way.
