    • When I started using the Internet
      • I first started using the internet around 1996 when I was a DJ at the Stanford radio station. Back in those days it was so hard to find information on the web. I was always disappointed by the results.

        Once around this time I wanted to find some info on a writer I liked called David James Duncan. I put in the name without quotes and one page came up. It was my own page that I had created from a playlist from my show (I managed to do code a couple pages in the 5 years I was there). That day I had played David Brian, Susan James and the New Duncun Imperials.

        I did misspell his name, but still, can you imagine, ONE page coming up for that? Right now there are 539,000 results.
