    • If I Could Say Anything without Consequence
      • Pull your head out of your ass and MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE. You don't need to settle. If something doesn't make you happy, why stick with it? Change isn't so bad, change can open up possibilities you never knew existed. You just might find more happiness than you could ever imagine. You think you deserve what you have, but you couldn't be any more wrong. You are strong, intelligent, beautiful, caring, and have the best sense of humor. Stop selling yourself short and go for what makes you happy. Screw everyone around you who keep you down. Your kids are all adults now and can make their own mistakes, and dig themselves out of trouble. Don't give your entire life to serving their every whim. Don't let them guilt you. Don't waste the rest of your life, because you never know when your time will be up.

    • Glad I kept the receipt
      • Flickr Toothbrush (36th/52)

I received a set of "His and Hers" toothbrushes for my 15th birthday from my Uncle Shiner. That in itself was not what made them strange; the fact that the handles were anatomically correct naked people is what made them Bizarre. I definitely got a laugh out of the gift but sadly I don't know what happened to them over the years.

      • Teleported A Self Portrait - January 8 - 365 Project

Let us presume for a moment that I've been hit by a glowing green meteor from space, and have managed to survive pretty much intact. Let us also presume that I am, for whatever reason, able to choose the superhuman power I acquire. Hands down, I would have to choose Teleportation.

This subject has piqued my attention for as long as I can remember. How wonderfully simple would our lives be if we could just pop in and out of different geographical locations with only the merest of thoughts? I imagine that this would be truly a green world devoid of toxic fumes and chemicals pouring from a steady stream from our vehicles. No traffic lights, no five o'clock rush hour, no longer would we have irresponsible drivers claiming the lives of hundreds of thousands every year in the United States alone.

Imagine watching a program about Ancient Egypt and wanting to see the great pyramids or the Sphinx for yourself. Blink, and you're there. Dream of floating peacefully down a canal in Sesto Calende, Italy as a Gondolier serenades you? Simply wish and hear the water lapping against the side of the Gondola. No travel costs, no baggage check, no fear of flying preventing you from seeing the world when and how you want to see it.

This, my friends, is why I would choose teleportation.
