- Your signature, please- World Wildlife Fund

You're gathering signatures for a petition - what's your cause?
My big cause right now is the World Wildlife Fund- first of all you can "adopt" an animal (and give money that will specifically affect its habitat, nature reserves, etc) and get info about the animal, a stuffed doll, and a picture. I think that is adorable and I think it makes people feel like they're really contributing. I also like that they work with people in the regions of the animals and habitats they are protecting, to get them involved with the organization or help them find sustainable occupations or what have you. This is a vital piece to saving the environment because people all over the world have to change, really change, not just create reserves. As far as I know they are well-respected and use their funds appropriately (if anyone has heard otherwise, please let me know).
And really I just feel like, my kids can fight for universal healthcare, and gay marriage, and political things like that, if they don't happen right away. I won't be too upset if I can't give that to them. But I would be heartbroken if they never got to see a giant panda, or a lion, or an elephant. That's the legacy I need to leave them.
