      • The most bizarre gift I have ever received was a bobble-head Tiffany lamp shaped like a cat. My grandma bought it for me, so I kept it. However, a year ago, I finally boxed it up and put it in the basement.

    • Why I gave up on "Catch-22" . . .

      • I started reading it for class but only made it through the first third of the book before the report was due. I used sparknotes.com to fill in the gaps, aced the paper, and felt too guilty to ever finish the book. I really liked it, though, and recommended it to several other people. I'll bring it to the family reunion this summer and force myself to finish it in a more relaxing, enjoyable setting.

    • How I'd spend $1,000 . . .

      • Nikon D80. I keep putting a digital SLR on my Christmas list, but my parents laugh and buy me pajama pants instead. I suppose I could also pay off my credit card or put some money toward my student loans or add the funds to my "saving up for a car (pfft, yeah right)" account, but I just really want that camera.

      • Looking right at me

        I have always wanted a white tiger as a pet. This is probably due in large part to being raised on Calvin and Hobbes; the release of Aladdin during my childhood only served to solidify my obsession. The dream isn't particularly achievable as long as I live at home with my parents, but I will one day live in a tiger-friendly neighborhood and have a tiger-friendly stay-at-home job and spend my lunch hour walking my very well-behaved white tiger around the block.
