Both! They're beautiful and remind you of how amazing God's creations are. Too bad I've never seen sunrise with my own eyes. Someday, I will. Someday...

    • This is where I live...
      • Indonesia Mapped onto the United States

I live in a country which comprises of more than 17,000 islands—make it the world’s largest archipelago, yet, many people seem to have not heard any of it.

It is on the big five of most populous country in the world with more than 230 million people, but you will only see half of them in one island.

It is not only a maritime but also an agriculture country. Like many other Asian country, its people primarily eat rice—many even claim they feel like haven’t eaten anything if they haven’t eaten rice, though they have plates of bread, meat, vegetables, etc—though in some region they have their own primary food—cassava, sago.

It is home for diversity in many ways—ethnicities, languages, religions, beliefs, biodiversity, etc.
It is where you can expect the most familiar neighbor on one side of your house and see the strangest person you’ve met living on the other side of your house.

It is a place where we are expected to give smile to everyone we met.

        It is place of contradictions.
It is a maritime country, yet people from neighboring countries seem to be more dominant. It claims to be an agriculture country, but no one cares about farmers’ prosperity. No wonder less and less people have interest in the field (no pun intended).
It is where you can enjoy yourself with luxury—designer boutique, best spa in the world, villas, kick-ass music shows—but, when you look at the backyard, you will find homeless and jobless people wandering around.
It is a rich country in biodiversity, natural resources; but, only a few people explore it and make the best of it.

It is where people learn from the worst—devastating natural disaster, crimes, terror—and realize that what might seem to divide us apart is the thing that unite us.

It has many flaws, yet I find beautiful. It is Indonesia.

    • You Call Me What?
      • Flea microphotograph

"If you were to give me a nickname, what would you call me?"

I think it one harmless way to know what exactly someone thinks of me. If he give a nickname based on a certain bad quality of me, I'll just take it for a joke. For an instance, a friend of mine call me 'Flea' because I am "small and kind of troublesome". Knowing him, I don't think he does that out of ill will.

    • My Dream Vacation
      • From the top of Mercu Suar P. Lengkuas Belitung

Japan! That would be my first answer if someone asked me my dream vacation. I’ve taken interest in Japanese culture. So yeah, undoubtedly going to Japan is my dream vacation.
But, recently I’ve been fascinated by beach and underwater adventure. Then, I may add Belitung or Raja Ampat to the list. Unfortunately for me, I can’t even swim!

    • Explore. Dream. Discover.
      • "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."— Mark Twain

Well, this is one of so many quotes that encourage us to not afraid seeking new experiences and chasing dreams. But the first sentence of this quote struck me so hard because it’s come true to me. How many time I let fright and hesitation get the best of me. There’s so much I can achieve not because of avoiding failure and shame but because I aim for success.
