"I'm not scared. I'm out of here. I'm not scared. I'm out.of.here." I overplayed the hell out of this in 96. And I still hear it on the radio (and I never turn the radio on). Sometimes Michael Stipe is just the ticket for a smile.
Sing along to this this with 500ppl or with 25,000ppl. It's magic. "Phew for a minute there, I lost myself..." A perfect but overplayed song that makes me cry when I sing it with a crowd. Four words: Hollywood Bowl August 2008. Ten more: I've seen them 15 times and it NEVER gets old.
I saw them live in 95 when I got my braces off! In a tiny venue in front of 400ppl. Happy Rock. You still hear this song/this album played like it was yesterday. Booya!
