- A Photo That Puts a Smile on my Face
-
Lately, life has been less than enjoyable on many levels. But there's always something that can put a smile on my face (or at least, has been able to help for the past 2 weeks)
Plain and simple, this is a cute ass piggy wearing bright red rain boots. I can look at this any time and still smile.

- Civilized Life
-
I'm absolutely sick of dealing with the same thing day in and day out. Humans are sick creatures, and need to learn to actually act civilized.
Not saying this goes for EVERYONE, but I have noticed a pattern in the behavior of people I communicate with. Friends, family, co-workers, etc. I don't mean to sound like a bitch, but I don't think it's that hard to start using your brain before interacting with others.
Rules to civilization:
Pull Your Head Out of Your Ass
People need to actually think before they speak and/or act. I am absolutely tired of people not learning to use their brain before opening their mouths. We are humans, not apes. Start acting like it!! (Not that I haven't seen apes act more civilized)
Shut Up and Listen
You do not rule the world, and you do not rule the conversation. Before you decide to run to people with your problems or ask for advice, take these 3 simple steps:
1) State your problem, point, what have you.
2) Ask for help
3) Shut up and listen
No one wants to hear your whining, therefore we will do whatever is necessary to help. If you need to talk to someone that bad then listen to what they actually have to say. Asking for an opinion is pointless if you're the only one talking.
Real Life Starts Now
You are who you are due to choices you have made in your life. Don't blame your childhood, your parents, your boss, etc. You have the power to change any and every aspect of your life. Only you can better yourself.
So now that we're on that note, creating a fake life for yourself doesn't count. That makes you a sad sad person. If you want change, make it happen. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it, so don't take the easy way out.
Being that kind of person hurts everyone. It turns you into a liar, a cheat, and most of all, a fake. There are plenty of people in the world who love you just the way you are, and if that's not the case, change it!
If you're making friends being a fake, they don't like you for you...they like you for who they wish you were.
Take a minute and think about it. Wouldn't you rather have real friends? Good, now go out there and make them the real way.
You Aren't the Only One That Matters
We all have lives that come along with stress, drama, and all kinds of other fun shit. You aren't the only one with problems! I understand your job is hard, your family sucks, you caught herpes from your boyfriend, what the fuck ever!
If you expect people to care about your problems, learn that your so-called friends, demand the same respect. Your best friend and her boyfriend broke up, she's depressed, and your response? That sucks, but my job is HORRIBLE!! Wow, a tad insensitive aren't we??
If you want to keep friends around, or make new ones for that matter, understand that friends are there for eachother. Being there doesn't mean "my problems are worse than yours, and that should cheer you up" it means sit and listen. Help out. Be a fucking friend. When you're done helping out someone you care about, they will be more than happy to listen to you and help with your problems.
You Don't Know Shit
You might know a lot, but that doesn't mean you know, let alone, understand everything. Living your life making assumptions about people, especially ones you don't know, makes you stupid. Period.
Before running your cockflap, understand that in order to fully understand someone, they need to let you into their life. I have plenty of friends that will never understand me, because I am cautious about letting people into all aspects of my life. Most people are, and like to keep a certain level of privacy.
What you know about someone is only what they allow you to know.
Rumors are fine and dandy...IN HIGH SCHOOL!!! Now, it's time to grow the hell up and learn the facts.
What You Own Doesn't Doesn't Make You a Better Person
Congrats, you have an iPhone, you just got back from Vegas, and you have an overpriced studio apartment in Hollywood! That makes you a better person how??
Last I checked, you're still an asshole. Having nice things doesn't make you a nice person.
Now don't get me wrong, I know plenty of nice people who are wealthy and have nice things. But you do not automatically become a good person because you just bought a new car.
I'm not sure how the hell bragging is supposed to make you seem like a better person, if anything, it makes you look like a snob. "Oh look at me, my things are better than yours!!" Yeah, that's exactly the kind of person I want to call my friend. Someone who thinks they're better than everyone else. Jesus people...are you that dumb?
