    • Bacon makes it better? True.
      • Bacon makes most things better. Take a prune, they can be tasty, but it's usually something you eat because you have to. Now, wrap that p…

    • The best part of a wedding? Wedding cake
      • Wedding Cake, Before

I love the cake. Everything about it. It is usually the best representation of the couples theme and personalities and it always tastes better than regular cake. Plus, I love the ritual of the couple feeding each other. I'm not a fan of the in-the-face-smash, but when done with love, it can be such a beautifully intimate moment.

    • Only in dreams
      • Last night I dreamt I was working on a movie. (no big surprise there) It actually started out as me compeating in a Top Chef type situation, but I had a partner, and she was awful! She kept dropping the plate and I was really angry because Jack Nicholson was our celebrity judge. Well, on my way to present our dish something happened with one of the cameras and I had to fix it. I sat down on a bench to get started and all of a sudden Thomas Jane came up to me and started doing a scene. I couldn't figure out why, so I went along with it. Suddenly I realized they were shooting his new TV show and I was supposed to be playing his daughter. lol...not likely because I'm a bit too old to be his daughter, and I'm not sure I could survive working with him again.

    • And The Sky Was Blue brings me back
      • I LOVED this book. I think it's out of print now and that makes me sad because I wanted to share it with my children someday. It was about several generations of women. It showed the games they played, their dolls, the houses they lived in, but each one ended saying "...and they sky was blue." It was beautiful.

    • My handiness
      • I'm a geeky handywoman. I have not only replaced the lamp in our 61" DLP television (easy peasy), I changed the COLOR WHEEL! I diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, disassembled and then reassembled the TV. WOOHOO!
