- I wish I still had my favorite lost toys
-
toy cowboy, horse & truck
Together these toys carried me through some of the strongest memories of childhood. Besides helping me make new friends, they helped me transport pet crickets, fish and mice to they burial when they met their fateful demise. Later they also helped me befriend some girls because it was one of the few toys that was big enough to carry things and neutral enough of a toy not seemingly belonging solely to the kingdom of crazy boys. Now that children are on the horizon for me, these lost toys seem even more precious because they could help carry my little ones through their childhood. Although they might not be around anymore their stories still are and perhaps searching really hard we can still find them around or at least similar production units. Together we could transport more memories and rally up more friends, lasso some more laughs and have lots of fun in the process.

- Master Hard Choices
-
Committing to making the hard career choice and uneasy decisions which deep down satisfy, but which feel like disappointments to family and friends. Most of the time it is merely an impression that personally satisfying choices disappoint those around me, when really what they want for me is to be happy doing what fulfills. Perhaps these feelings are borne because loved ones want us to have the world, which usually translates most easily into material things. Truthfully, but much harder to convey family hopes for us to find personal actualization and any particular wants coming in as a bonus. Work, buy, consume, die is the motto for way too many human beings, specially those with privilege. Mastering ourselves to fulfill our true needs will mostly take care of our wants and deliver the knowledge of things much more satisfying. Mastering the hard decision to live passionately is like investing in that which will outlast you and impact even those you never meet.
