"Thrifty"
Which is a nice way of saying cheap. I can't believe I associate with people who would pay over thirty bucks for a piece of clothing! I wear clothes/shoes until they're litterally falling apart. The family motto: "It was on sale AND i had a coupon!"

Oh golly! The list could go on and on! Which is why I tired to kept it to five. I would call it G.O.A.T (greatest of all time..dur!) Let's all go to GOAT!!
Btw, is it just me or does the lineup for Coachella kind suck? I mean yeah sure Phoenix is going, but...for $300, I need a little more.

Phoenix
Uh...i think if you know them then its pretty obvious....listened to them for the last six months almost every day and I'm still not tired of it! <3

Vampire Weekend
Not digging the new album, probably because I'm listening to it in the rain which soooo doesn't fit them. Vampire Weeked=summer.

Belle and Sebastian
To cool things down at sunset.

The Flaming Lips
What kindof musical festival doesn't have the flaming lips? I'll tell you, a lauhame one!

Airborne Toxic Event
They're one of the newer finds, so I'll cut them a break.

Temper Trap
Oh I would love to hear Sweet Disposition in the summer night! *sigh*

Sufjan Stevens
He would make a come back just for GOAT.

Andrew Bird
A must.

Bon Iver + Blind Pilot
Just because I didn't want to many artists, I included these two as one.

Monsters of Folk
Hah! That's convenient!

Johnossi
Totally underrated!

I should go into the ear doctor business (I know there is a name for it.) I would make a killing.
And I usually can't listen to speakers because there is guaranteed to be someone in the vicinity that despises my music. -_- the pains of living with your parents.
So...the best place for me is the car. I love those aimless nights of driving around blasting THE perfect song and singing your favorite song at the top of your lungs. Good times, good times.
Laughlin is about an hour away from Las Vegas. It's like a mini Vegas but more comfortable/cheaper. I used to go there every summer since I was two. It's the only place I call my home away from home. Haven't been in like five years and I miss it so. This year im going to spend my 21st bday in laughlin. :)

oh Laughlin, how I loved thee? Let me count the ways:
1. you're cheaper than vegas but with the same aesthetic
2. the warm weather
3. the gorgeous lakes
4. the buffets and in-n-out and arcades (not old enough to gamble just yet)
5. movie theatre inside the hotels
6. room service
7. shopping
8. the only people that come here (mostly) are polite, retired old couples.
but mosly what i do at laughlin involves #3. just lie on the beach and enjoy the sun. *sigh* I feel relaxed just thinking about it.

A good breakfast better include soy chorizo, not soyrizo.

Breakfast is actually my favorite meal of the day. I can make a list of 100+ items I love for breakfast but I'll just keep it at five. But on a regular day basis my breakast is merely a bowl of Honey nut Cherrios. Once in a while a microwavable pancake. Im currently writing a draft letter to send to General Mills (?) to bring back Rice Krispies with strawberries.

Eggs
Eggs are probably my favorite food of all time. They can be cooked in so many ways and mixed in all kinds of ingredients. And no matter what, they're always yummy. And this all might be a problem when I go vegan.

Tortilla
Probably one of the most mexican things about me. My house is never without a tortilla. Seriously. I can't eat eggs without it. Prepostorous! (sp?)

Fruit
mmm...strawberries.

Hashbrowns
Potatoes are a lot like egss that they can be made different ways. But hashbrowns are my favorite way. slightly burnt. with a pinch of salt. yum.

Chorizo (soy)
Chorizo is also good with some eggs. I recently found soy chorizo, it takes exactly the same. seriously, its delciious. don't buy that soyrizo cheap american stuff. the only good fake chorizo comes from the mexican markets. i like to think that its actually meat and they're just tricking me.

I was, lets say, six. There I was, barely four feet tall, staring up at the gigantic playground dome at school. My mom was talking to my teacher out in the distance. It was after school and nobody was around. I was the biggest chicken and never even dared to think about climbing the dome but something came over me that day. I just knew I had to try. So I did and when I got to the top I froze. The ground was so far away and I couldn't move a muscle. So I cried. I was so sure I was going to fall to my death. Out of nowhere this woman comes and picks me up and puts me on the ground. I was saved. I just looked up at her and she smiled and then walked away. That was the nicest thing a stranger's done for me. No I have never done the same for anyone else. I should. I should go to a playground and pick up random children. Wow, that sounded really weird. scratch that idea.

oh man so this place gives you tons of food and all i asked for was a bowl of tofu soup! you get the soup with loads of seaweed. im sure there's an asian term for seaweed but whatever. and you get fried fish. they're tiny and whole. like the whole fish. just with the eyes taken out. i didn't touch those. and you get a huge bowl of rice just for yourself. some other stuff that i didn't know what it was but there was a lot of it. and an egg to put in your soup. its a lot of food.

When I was a kid my dad told me and my siblings that the weeds in our planter were tasty. He even ate one right in front of us. So we grabbed a bunch, rinsed them under the sink and started chewing at the stems. They were actually pretty good. Kinda sweet. watery. my mom found us and freaked out. my dad just wanted us to help him out in the yard. since then i've taken a liking to weeds. they're actually very pretty. the yellow ones are anyway. i ono what the big deal is...why everybody wants to get rid of them. I guess i don't know much about plants.

Here at mi casa we have our own personal ghost. His name is pond skipper. I have no idea why. He takes one sock so we can't find the matching one. He leaves the lights on in random rooms and leaves the cupboards open. He opens the doors when it's windy. And for some reason he uses scissors and the flashlight without putting it back where it belongs. I've never seen him but I swear he moved my can of pepsi once at the dining table. The one that my sister spilled over. I didn't put it next to her elbow, it was pond skipper. I guess if I did see him he would look like Mr. Miyagi (sp?) from the karate kid.

I am terrbily afraid of earthquakes. Which sucks because I live in Southern California. People think that Californians should be earthquake lovers but after living here my whole life I am still terrified. I once screamed during class when the person sitting behind me pushed my desk on accident. I freak out when I'm sitting on the couch and someone starts tapping their foot. I think I feel tiny earthquakes when I'm lying in bed. I'm haunted by earthquakes. I don't why I'm so scared. I've lived through all of them and they were actually kinda fun. Maybe it isn't fear as much as it is adrenaline....maybe I"m actually an earthquake junkie...

Answer: I've always wanted to go to the Ripley's Believe it or not museum. I'm quite fascinated by strange things and I love museums! And I've lived less than a mile away from it but have never gone. And it closed about a year ago. :( Never went to the wax museum either. man, i suck.

Not Answer but fun digression:
The map is actually a view over an amusement park that I live a stone's throw from. Quite literally. It's not disneyland, but I believe this amusement park is pretty popular. At least in CA. It's fun living next to it. The fireworks are amazing to see from my balcony. The traffic can suck at times. Especially around Halloween [hint hint] but it also makes life exciting. It just so happens that during statewide testing when I was in first grade [my elementary school is even closer to the park than my house...its on the map!] the amusement park allowed entrance for a nickle in honor of cinco de mayo. and the whole city went crazy. people were climing the gates. parking at our school. right in the middle of testing they had to close my school for the day because people were going insane, parking all over the street. nickles flying everywhere. it was so much fun. but yeah no wonder CA is now the 48th or 49th state with the best education. needless to say the whole "get in for a nickle" event never happened again.

I was home alone [which naturally makes me uber paranoid] and I kept hearing noises in my backyard. It just so happened I had been watching Unsolved Mysteries in which every episode ends with "If you have seen this man..." I was so sure that psychopath from Iowa was in my backyward. Like 99.9% sure. After an hour of lying in the fetal position on the floor of the living room I finally decided to take a peep. There was an old man back there cleaning the yard. He was my grandfather. No he isn't senile. He just breaks into our house on random days and does yard work...for free.

This question is actually kinda moot anyway. I have a free bus pass from my school so I can basically go anywhere in Southern California for free. Which sounds really exciting but I just use it to go to school and back. Buses aren't that great.

okay ill tell a story that I was told in a borders book store one day by the cashier. it was kinda random and weird but entertaining. i believe the story was written by flannery o'connor. I have no idea who that is but here it goes...
so there was this old woman that lived all alone in a farm i think. one day this salesman comes to her door. she refuses to talk to him. oh and the woman has a wooden leg, btw. so she refuses to talk to the guy but he wont give up. so she finally days and they start a..er...relationship. she falls in love with him. so fine, a few weeks later. oh and he claimed to sell bibles. he always carried a suitcase with him but she never saw the inside...so one day they're in the barn on the top part where you need a ladder to get to. so theyre making out and the guy asks if she would take off her peg leg. at first she refuses but finally she gives in. he holds the leg and gets...aroused...? this part of the story was a little vauge. the casheir guy at borders imitated the guy [and this was the weird part] "come on baby, just let me old your peg leg" so he has the leg and then suddenly he climbs down the ladder and pushes it away, trapping the old women on top. she cries "why?" and he just laughs, opens his suitcase and inside are people's fake appendages: a glass eyeball, fake arm...ect. the salesman says "thanks for adding to my collection" and then walks away. THE END!!
