Don't dwell
Bad breakups suck, I know this for a fact. The breakup of my marriage of 11 years was horribly painful. It wouldn't have been as bad had I not dwelled on it, but accepted it and moved on. Luckily, I have good family and friends that were there to hold my hand when needed, but also kick my ass as well (thanks S).
Remember the good times and the bad
The good times were good and they should always hold a place in your heart, but the bad times are just as important. Most likely there are lessons to be learned during those times that might not have been obvious while it was happening. Reflecting on those could help you future relationships.
