- The Last Time I Thanked Someone
-
I do believe that gratitude rules the world in mysterious ways. I simple word like thank you has the power to light up eyes and humble hearts. It is a gesture of receiving with humility;just the way children do. When spoken from the depths of our heart it stirs up the most beautiful feelings that nuture and bond beings. An egoistic heart might be unable to bring itself to yeild to such utterance, for fear of being perceived as weak not realising that generosity is the dance between giving and taking.
The last time I thanked somebody was my mother . It was just a reflex action after I read a forwarded mail in the silent confines of my office cabin . It was the most beautifully worded ode to the unconditional love of a mother from the very moment she sets her eyes on her baby As the baby grows older she nutures it with all her might. With the best intentions and a prudence that comes with motherhood. She relies on her intution and is the epitome of love and care until one fine day her baby grows up to think for itself and rebukes and critisises and blames his miserable fortune to her lack of 'foresight' !
My heart broke and I wept . My tears , being an offering to a woman who had the purest heart .Just the way God made it those days. Luckily my mother was just a phone call away.

In defense of greed , I would like to say that ;it's most essential.Especially for enlightened minds that have conditioned themselves to think they need nothing but love and fresh air! Give it a negative connotation and it becomes greed ;glorify it and it could become ambition or desire .
