Runner's World
Great tips for runners of all levels, although some of the training plans could be dumbed down a bit for the non-psycho types. I've also gotten some really good nutrition info and recipes from it.
Sunset
Simply perfection. Travel, home, gardening and food all in one magazine. I wish there were an equivalent for the east coast, but since there's not I have kept my subscription even after moving out of the direct coverage area. I can still daydream about going to all of the fabulous vacation spots, restaurants, shops etc.

- No, I am not a dude named Stanford
-
I went to school at Stanford, and thus had a lot of logoed clothing that I wore, especially when working out or playing soccer. When I moved to Southern California, there was a woman I played soccer with who would call me Stanford all the time. No one really calls me that anymore, but I still use it a lot for screen names.

Where the Streets Have No Name by U2
Pretty much my favorite song of all time, and I know the lyrics very well.
This one could be ugly because I don't know if I can sing that high for that long. I like that it's another song about stupid boys.

- One of the coolest things I've seen in another country was the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix, France
-
There is a gondola station and observation area up on the top of the Aiguille du Midi that boggles the mind.
I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to build the thing up there, but when you get up on the top, where you can see Mont Blanc, it feels like you're on the roof of the world (altitude 3842 m or 12602 ft).
I have some pictures from there in this album. This image looking out over the Alps into Italy is one of my favorites. The mountains just seem to keep going and going.
