- Я не видел Броненосец "Потемкин"

I keep hearing about how influential this film was, both as propaganda, and, perhaps more importantly, simply as a masterpiece of film
The Battleship Potemkin by Eisenstein is still on the list...maybe one day they'll play it at the Academy of Arts or our local U.

"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts..."
And then of course there's the Master Thespian.
Sigh.
I've been on stage quite a few times. All of them have been fun, though some only in retrospect. In fact a few days ago I tried to recall all the times since high school that I'd appeared in something....

Ever wanted to go for bike ride?
I'd love to bicycle down the Mississippi River Trail from Lake Itasca, MN all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.
Why? I love cycling and I've never really seen that part of the country.
[Admittedly the photo I've added wasn't taken in the Midwest...but I was still camping.'

- Two Favorite Quotes of the Moment
-
The camera is an instrument that teaches people
how to see without a camera." - Dorothea Lange
And:
"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." - Theodor Seuss Geisel
It's really kind of difficult to pick just one quote and say that's it for all time. Right now though, these are my favorite.
I love the first because it's so very true about photography, or anything else for that matter. I love the second because it's advice I need to remember on a daily basis.
Aloha!

Admittedly this is bike porn, but it is my bike.
What could be better than a bicycle ride on a perfect day in a beautiful place?
