- In response to: "What is the one thing you consistently spill on yourself?" Coffee or espresso. I'm a barista, you can tell by the toes of my shoes. Also, I'm clumsy. Sometimes I also spill myself onto the floor.

I was in the shower, thinking too much.
He pulls back the curtain, interrupting my blue thoughts.
He stares into my very core, very serious with a grave face, and says the most wonderful thing:
I am yours.

I would take up a lot of vices.
And maybe not pay back all my loans.
And fart... all the time.

Car insurance rates get better with age, so I'm told. At least, at some point which I have yet to approach.

- A short story with no 'L'
-
Once there was a young bird. She was hip, she was groovy and every one of the guys that saw her swinging hips sashay past his gaze found his jaw on the ground. Now, it is of no consequence, what this bird was named, for in the end of ends, no one remembered who she was. She was a mystery. She was a shadow. She was the embodiment of anything and everything that you ever found beyond your grasp.
So, what of her, then? Why are we hearing about her? Mysteries are captivating. No matter how tragic they are in the end, we cannot escape them.
Perhaps it's not what this bird was, or who she was. It's the difference she made to you, however brief your interaction with her was.

- Primarily, blankets
-
I live under a blanket nearly all the year. I actually started keeping one in my car this winter. I park outside and the car seats just get too darn cold for my poor bum. Additionally, I have a few that float around the house for various uses. I just hung one over my bedroom window the other day to keep out the light and the cold. Very useful. There are blankets on my bed, in the closet, by the couch, at the computer and one in the cat bed as well. (Although, the one in the cat bed is a Snuggie. A Snuggie is not a 'blanket with sleeves.' It's a robe you lost the belt to that you put on backwards.)
What would my life be without blankets? Cold.
