    • Joy White had it Coming

      • Joy White was my arch enemy when I was 10.She was the 5th Grad Bully.
        Well, one day, her and her two cronies decided it was beat-up-the-blond-girl-day and they jumped me at my locker.
        Something happened inside and I DECKED Joy in the jaw.
        Oh yeah, I jawed that girl. She fell down and her "friends" ran.
        I was known in the principals office (because I was a bored student and would feign sickness so I could go home) and when I was presented with the facts,
        "I heard you got into a fight with Joy White...", I didn't deny anything.
        The Principal (Ms. Kruger?) tapped on a closed folder and said, in a knowing way, "You know this is going to go on your permanent record". It was all in the delivery though... pretty sure she meant, "You decked the school bully. I see nothing."

    • Poor (wo)Man's Tuna Cassarole

        Back in my first POS apartment, I had (literally) $4 between bi-weekly paychecks.

        1 box Kraft Dinner
        1 can Tuna
        1/2 bag of frozen peas
        processed cheese slices to taste

        Boil mac, within last few minutes, add peas. Drain. Make cheese as per directions. Add tuna. Tear up cheese slices and add. Nuke. Eat.

        I would still eat this if I still cared for tuna... hmm, wonder what changed that.
        I still do the cheese-n-peas thing, mainly because it makes me feel like I'm eating a vegetable.

      • These are my comfy shoes. They will have a mass burial when they bite the dust, though I am giving SERIOUS consideration to having them resoled.
        They are plain, black, high-heeled mary janes with a rounded toe.
        Boring, yet so very highly functional... They go with everything and today, they're covering up my hooker-pink-painted toenails.

        So I guess my shoes say that I'm a bit edgy.

        How do I loathe rude people? let me count the ways.... cutting you off in line, not watching where they're going, improper lane shifts, leaving their shopping cart in the middle of the aisle...

        Peeing in cups, sticking things up your nose and drawing blood. What's there not to hate.


        Irrational People
        "You know what? I wish we could have the ENTIRE summer off!"- 29 year old co-worker


        People who can't/don't/won't control their kids
        "jimmy! you stop that! stop that right now! I mean it!"

        "damn kid was right here... oh, there he is, hanging from the rafters!"
