    • The Last Time I Saw Someone from High School
      • A couple of weeks ago, we visited some friends in LA and on our way down to SD, we made a quick stop at a pretty popular bakery. As I was leaving I saw a guy from high school in line. Supposedly, he had a crush on me for a long time. He made me feel a little awkward the last time I had seen him 4 or 5 years ago by trying to hit on me at a party after meeting my boyfriend that night. I didn't bother to say "hi."

    • A Disappointing Movie
      • The most recent one was Avatar. I was really passionate about my disdain for the movie: vowing I would never see a James Cameron film ever again.

It was super predictable--I had already known what was going to happen in the first 5 minutes of the film and I hadn't seen any previews for the movie. It was 3 hours of my life I will never get back. The character development was cliched and the script was super cheesy.

The CG was all smoke and mirrors for a horrible, horrible movie.

    • The Person Whose Advice I Seek First
      • To the person who I know will have the answer I want to hear--whether I just need validation to feel or think the way I do, if I honestly didn't know the answer and the person whom I'm asking I know has it, or if I just need a kick in the head to tell me otherwise.

    • Fiction versus Nonfiction
      • Nonfiction, for sure. I don't have a wild imagination so it's hard for me to get into books that are imaginative.

I suppose it sort of perpetuates the notion--if I read more imaginative books, maybe it'll help me become more imaginative. But getting passed the barrier of negative preconceptions about fiction and being able to hold my attention long enough is tough.

I also like to learn and love trivia, so my tendencies more often than not go toward these types of books.
