    • My trip from Angleton, Texas to Whidbey Island, Washington

      • Three days of driving, 1 snow storm in June, and long stretches of beautiful scenery with just me and Bobby McGee.

        On a whim, I thought I'd move to Washington State, just to see what it was like. My job allows me the freedom to work from any stable Internet connection and I'd been living in my hometown for a few years to save some money. My cousin was in the Navy living on Whidbey Island and his apartment was going to be empty for a few months while he was on deployment. So, in 6 days I packed what I could fit in my car, stored the rest of my belongings, and set out with my little dog across the country to see what we could find.

      • Truly, I'd like to say I'd pay down some of my debt. But I'd probably spend it on really cool thank you gifts for the people helping with and attending in my wedding. Like necklaces from superhero design or an Amazon Kindle for everyone.
