How I De-Stress

Is there any real way to chill when you are stressed out? I mean let's face it, some get so stressed out that they pace around a room, so get so stressed they can't eat, some so stressed that they get migraines, sooooooo what's a good way to chill?

This is a question I have asked myself on multiple occassions and they only thing I have found that works at least for me is music and writing. Music soothes the soul and writing lets me vent. So this works for me, but may not work for everyone, so I am really curious to hear about what other people do!

My Sense of Direction

I have to say that try as I may (and I do try) I was not blessed with a sense of direction. Now, I can get home and I can get you to my home but it depends on where you are coming from. If you are traveling on an interstate that I have only used a few times, I cannot tell you to go North, South, East, or West. In town I can drive or ride to a location a thousand times, but if I don't write down the directions I either have to ask if someone is with me, or call someone and ask because there is at least one or two turns that I will not remember and I will end up lost. I know, I know, I so need a GPS system but whenever I have had the money to buy one something comes up and I have to use it for something else. Friends and family make fun of me all the time because I am directionally challenged even though I am working on my Master's Degree. Hey the way I see it we all have to suck at something and directions are what I completely and utterly suck at!

I do not do anything special on Earth Day because I do things everyday to help our Mother Earth. I recycle glass, plastic, and paper including the cereal boxes and capri sun boxes that are frequently used in my household. I use the plastic grocery bags as trash bags in my bathrooms and use them when the kids need to carry extra things to school. I do not use sponges for washing dishes I use washclothes because they are easily washed and they don't get thrown in the trash making it one less item that sits in our landfills.

The biography of Marilyn Monroe was the best I have ever read. Although I do not read many biographies, this one kept me on the edge of my seat and really opened my eyes to her life and all of the horrible things she experienced as a child and adult. It gave new meaning to one of the world's greatest and most beautiful public women of our time.

Finding a book you are gonna love

The best way to find out what books you might be interested in is to go to one of the book club websites and browse their various selections. You can sometimes get a more indepth overview of the book so you can see if it is something you are going to like. Since not all of the books have such an overview you can also do searches at the library or online and find reviews on all the categories you might be interested in. There are many ways to find out what might spark your interests.
