I like rooms where I can be productive
My home office. But right now, I'm building a new computer since the old one spontaneously combusted (erm, kinda..actually, it did in 2004 and finally gave out!) and it's a mess. When it's clean, I'll love it again <3
p.s. it's not the picture I chose below. In fact, that's a thumbnail I can't even really see but it looks nice!

Maybe I'm just not sold by David Allen's hype, but the GTD phenomenon is kind of annoying. I mean, it's a great concept and all, but getting that book read? No, I can't get it done. The way the book is structured makes it just too hard to read.
Perhaps I'd fare better in a seminar. (And I'm a much better visual learner than an auditory one, so this is an anomaly!)

If I had a choice, I'd be saving the $1000, not spending it. But on Thursday, my computer's CPU fan died, causing the CPU to overheat and die. At first, I was seeking out a replacement CPU, but the machine is 5 years old and I ran into a lot of issues, particularly with compatibility (why in the world is everything based on SATA nowadays? I love my IDE!). I ended up caving and buying new components so that I can build a new computer myself, and yes, the cost was about $1,000. Hopefully this one won't break for 10 years or more. I don't really need it to be a state-of-the-art machine; my laptop serves that purpose ;)

My husband's cousin knits a lot. She has given me a few knitted tissue holders and funky old hats that I'm not sure I could be caught dead with in public. But hey, I appreciate her efforts!
