    • One of my favourite places for a Night Out

      • One of the best venues of Amsterdam

        Actually, I have TWO favourite live music venues... The other one is just on the other side of the Leidseplein. What I like about the Melkweg (the Milkyway :D ) is that after a concert it turns into a club, which means that for €12 you can get an amazing night out with friends - a concert AND a club! The last time I was there was before the christmas holidays, but there's a concert coming up in February where I'd like to go :)

        No way I can answer that question! I've seen so many movies in 2010... I guess I'll have to pick one that I saw more recently, and if I focus only on film - as in script, cast, quality of story... I guess that'd have to be Inception.

    • Replay..Replay..Replay... But I love them anyway.

      • Three completely different songs, which kind of display my broad interest in music. I like pretty much everything, from reaggaemetal (although I'm really picky in that genre) to rock, to classical, to pop, to house and hip-hop. Here's three songs that have been stuck in my head the past few days.


        Moving to New York by the Wombats

        A song that I discovered only a few days ago really, but it's been on replay ever since I first heard it. I even dreamt about it the day before yesterday...

        Winter by Tori Amos

        Just about the opposite of the wombats is Tori Amos, quiet and gentle. Something to listen to whilst you're sitting next to the fireplace and reading a book with a cup of hot chocolate by your side. As she sings "I get a little warm in my heart, when I think of winter", well, she sure knows how to transfer that feeling...

        Fancy Footwork by Chromeo

        And another song that is completely different to the other two. As you can see from the album artwork, it's from the movie Step Up 3D, which - as those of you who read my blog on wordpress (thefuturestudent.wordpress.com) already know - is a film I .. well, I love, to be honest. It just makes me want to move.

        Yes, I have been on stage. Several times, in fact. At first, I was scared. I wasn't sure if I could do it. But now I enjoy it. In fact, in Februari I'm doing another performance, I'm auditioning 8 songs, so I'm bound to get in with at least 1 of them - as you hear, I have more self-confidence now. Because I enjoy doing what I do and I don't really care anymore whether anyone else thinks I suck or not :)
