- If You Didn't Have Enough Crayons, You Really Need These.

Brown.
Remember when the restaurant gave you crayons to color on your placemat, & they were always blue, green, red, & yellow? & you couldn't draw a tree, a house, a dog, etc... lame. Need brown.
Gray.
Also good for dogs, houses, cats, airplanes, knights, nights, knives, clothes, furniture, etc...

- What I Wear on a Special Occasion
-
On special occasions, I wear my grandmother's Lindsey star ring. She gave it to me a couple months before she died-- before that, she'd worn it constantly since buying it with her first paycheck from her first job after she graduated high school. You can't get a new real Lindsey star stone-- they're all synthetic now, & the star doesn't move in the light like the real ones. It's a brilliant blue stone, set in white gold with a little filigree. It's one of my favorite possessions.

The Real Ghostbusters

- 'The Nun's Story' imitates my life.
-
Sister Luke in The Nun's Story always reminds me of myself. She's a young woman with a passion, she's honest, & she just wants to do her best with her life. She struggles with a lot of things, like pride, selfishness, futility, people not seeing things her way, not getting along with people no matter how hard she tries, being torn between choices, what's 'right' being defined differently by everyone... Sometimes she bends to authority when she absolutely doesn't want to, other times she justifies herself in breaking the rules. Her life takes changes that aren't what she had planned, but she tries to make the best of it, & takes the things that she learns from these experiences & tries to take them to heart, for whatever may happen next. Whenever I watch this movie, it resounds within me, & I feel like I would've behaved just the same, & I feel the pains & joys with the character because of that.
