      • Navidades 2008 - Arroz con gandules

        OMG! This is a loaded question. My love for food is apparent and if you didnt know, I am also 100% Puerto Rican. This combination is dangerous--lol. My most favorite comfort food would have to be between "Arroz con gandules y Pernil" or "Pollo Guisado con Arroz blanco". Translation: "Roast pork and rice with chick peas" or "Chicken stew with white rice".

        These 2 dishes were staple dishes growing up. They are absolutely delicious and the perfect "feel good" meal. When im down and out, they will always put a smile on my face.

        I am definitely an emotional eater so between the combination of that and being Puerto Rican, I was destined to have this lifelong struggle with my weight--lol.

        This is a topic I know is of pure controversy. Let me start by saying that this is just my personal opinion and although you might not agree, I ask that you respect my opinion as I do yours. With all that said, this is what I think.

        Any murderer, rapist or pedophile should die without a second thought. Maybe I am biased because I fell victim to a pedophile but in my eyes, if you have the balls to take an innocent life or sexually abuse an innocent child, then you have balls big enough to suffer the consequence.

        This world has no room for people that abuse and take lives. This world does not have the finances to house these murderers, rapist and pedophiles in jail for life. If you are going to sentence them to life in prison, just fucking kill them and use the money it would have cost to house them in jail, towards other areas in this financially unstable world.

        They didnt think twice about taking these innocent lives and traumatizing these innocent children so why are we taking the time through long and useless trials to consider the lives of the assholes. It just doesnt make sense to me.

        Well I can go on forever on this topic so I will close this out by saying that no one deserves to be a victim of a man/woman who feel they can take a life or abuse one and get away with it. We have enough toxicity around us we need to deal with. One less murderer, rapist or pedophile in this world would be a step in the right direction.     • My Weirdest Pet Peeve

      • Shower Curtain

        I have many, many, many pet peeves but one that I face everyday because of my hubby is.........the shower curtain being open. I cannot stand when the shower curtain is left open. It literally drives me insane. It should be shut at all times and hubby has the most difficult times shutting the damn curtain. Im starting to think he does it on purpose but I cant imagine why he would want to hear me curse at him everyday over it.

        I know you probably think im crazy but I would be me if I wasnt--lol

        I could only hope that people would have nothing but good things to say about me. For example: Millie was a good wife, a wonderful mother, a loyal friend and a person who wanted nothing more than to make those around her happy. She had a great sense of humor and was quite witty.

        Im not quite sure what people would really have to say about me. Hmmmm... This is an interesting question but I would like to say I love all of my friends and family very much and I try hard to make sure they know that.
