People have asked about my nickname more than enough times before now, so here goes.

Time to set it all straight, and put it down in text.

My nickname is elmo, yes from Sesame Street.

And the story goes as follows, I was at a house party when I was around 14 with a lot of my friends, and they were pretty drunk, but not I, I didn't make alcohol my mistress until a month shy of my 18th birthday.

It was around 4am, and so being the interesting person I was, I left everyone to do their thing, and I watched tv, BAM. Sesame street, who could ask for more? (rhetorical, do not answer).

My friend came to sit with me, and we watched those muppets for a good 2 hours or so, must have been a catch up or something.

Suddenly, interrupting our show a girl came in a took my dear friend from me, alas, I continued to watch. One of the shows adverts (commercial for my American readers, thank me later) was very red. I have longish hair, such that it kinda sticks out a little, well I did at the time.

Dark room+red light infront+long hair+drunk girl= Drunk girl seeing me from behind with red hair, and yes, you guessed it. Elmo.

I had not noticed the room was full at this point, she shouted, "hey doesn't Tim look like Elmo?"

This wasnearly 5 years ago, and still people call me Elmo, I don't blame them, I like it.

It works for me.
