My wife and I were very interested in seeing the movie (given it was nominated for Best Picture and we both love the director), and there really wasn't anything else to watch. Beth's (my wife) parents wanted to see it with us and we said okay.

While Beth and I greatly enjoyed the movie, we still haven't heard the end of it from her parents.
