We met when I got busted reading over his shoulder on the T in Boston. He picked me up, we went out...dinner, stroll...and it ended in a HIGH FIVE. Brought a whole new meaning to the old adage about judging a book by its cover. Never called him again.

Good food, some star-gazing...maybe whomever is footing the bill for the villa can also provide a nice yacht to spend an afternoon or two.

$3 taco plate...comes with beans and rice. That's a whole lotta love.

This is one of Wes Andersen's finest. Beginning with a truly fingernails-on-a-chalkboard interview in Italy and featuring plenty of ocean views and whimsical sea life, this movie is one of the most stylish and funny movies I've ever seen. Stellar soundtrack from Seu Jorge tops it off with Portuguese versions of David Bowie hits.

Watch for Willem Defoe's daddy-complex with Steve and Cate Blanchette's efforts to keep from swearing for her unborn baby's sake. It's awesome, it's beautiful, and I could watch it over and over again.

It becomes more and more of a classic as time goes by (ba dum PSSSHHH). But I would have liked to have seen the faced and emotions of the other people in the theatre when this came out.

You won't be able to put it down. And the movie's coming out soon. You'll laugh, you'll cry and this book is so haunting it will stay with you for years. Read it!

I don't understand how women all over America can spend an entire paycheck (or two) on a handbag or a sweater they'll never even wear more than twice before claiming there's something wrong with it. I'm a bargain shopper, almost to a fault, but it's not as if I wander around looking like it...Where's the fun in just walking into a store and buying something without comparing the price to some place else and "shopping around"? I feel dumb when I've done that, only to find it cheaper in the store next door...

If I'm invisible then I can hop a flight to anywhere, right? I'd start my journey (probably from LAX) to Japan, since I've always wanted to go there. From there, I might travel only by train all over Asia and when I get tired, take the Trans-Siberian railway back over to Eastern Europe. (I hear being invisible might be the only way to safely take that train anyway.) Then I'd do much the same: seeing the sights, eating great food (will the food become invisible once I've eaten it? If not - gross.) Then take a cruise back to the US, head to South America and around on a cruise to Antarctica, making my way slowly all over the world.

My youth, agility and brain power would sink slowly together with the city, back into the ocean, in a rather backwards evolutionary end cycle. Final spin would be using the rest of my days to figure out a way to rid that town of pigeons. End cycle. I like it. And I like comparing my life to a washing machine, too.
