I felt quite heroic a cold autumn evening when I was five and "saved" my beloved bunny. I'd gone out wearing a night gown, rubber boots and some good will to find my bunny which had run away the day before. As I skidded down the gravel driveway of my neighbour, I heard some tumbling and grumbling from a set of trees about a hundred feet away. Suddenly a full-grown badger came running towards me, teeth barred, ready to do me harm. My first instincts were to run, so of course, five-year-old myself did, but then I came to thought that the badger might actually (omgomg) atually EAT my bunny (five-year-old's way of thinking) so with the adrenalin pumping with the speed of bullet shots I turned around, brought my hand up in a stop motion and bellowed "STOOOP!" As I thoguht the badger would jump me, it abruptly stopped, scrunched its nose and quickly fled the place. I walked back home "knowing" my bunny would be safe at least for a while.
