Call me a hopeless romantic but.... i think you should always live without regrets in love. It is hard because we are all afraid of getting hurt, but that is no way to live! You have to take a chance and go for it or else you will always wonder what might have been. Yes, you may get hurt.... yes, it may even be dangerous... but you cannot live in a bubble afraid of letting someone in. You have to try.

- Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains is lovely this time of year
-
The Cades Cove loop deep in the Smoky Mountains is one of my favorite places in the world. As you travel down the curving country road, deer and other wildlife peek out of the trees. It is a slower pace of life, full of stunning meadows and rolling hills. In addition to the unspoiled nature, there are several traditional cabins and log homes from before the park was formed. I could spend hours exploring the homes and gift shops and listening to the singing of the birds. Of course the best part is the National Park itself. I have always dreamed of biking the entire loop.

- My Ideal Pet

I desperately desire an otter. I'm not particularly picky about breed, but the small clawed Asian variety seems well-suited for the smaller home environment. I'd want to provide a cozy little den and some running around room plus a pool for him (or her!) to splash around it. Ideally I would like to have a house that could include an aquariam kind of room so that you could lounge on the couch and watch the otters play above and underwater. Few things in this life can make me laugh quite as much as watching an otter play, so I think it very necessary. Imagine how much a person could save on therapy bills alone! I suppose the carpet would get wet and someone would have to keep the pool clean and I feel sure that even adorable otters feel the need to poo, but if I'm living the life, I can hire someone to do such maintence, right? Or I could just live at the zoo..... hey, I actually like that idea a lot! Well, expect for the little kids and annoying people who march around making noise and yelling at animals for not giving them a photo opportunity... grrrr.... people! Okay, so maybe not the zoo so much... big house then, with plenty of well-paid maintence people. In the meantime, however, (AKA, reality) I will just have to continue to cherish my zoo membership.
