    • 'Decimated' sounds so sweet
      • Decimated
So many people use it wrongly... Decimated means to reduce to one tenth. Unless it's reduced to exactly one tenth it's original size, the object is not decimated.

        Antidisestablishmentarianism
When I first moved to MD, we didn't have tv going, I hadn't been able to unpack because we had to keep everything in storage. I was a bored 10 year old. Well, when I mentioned that to my father, he gave me a word to spell. A-n-t-i-d-i-s-e-s-t-a-b-l-i-s-h-m-e-n-t-a-r-i-a-n-i-s-m - - 100 times in print, 100 times in cursive. I thought my hand was going to fall off. I may forget what it means frequently, but I will never forget how to spell it!

    • One of my quirks: I sing loudly & out of tune
      • I sing loudly & out of tune
I can't stand to be bored long, so I tend to crank the tunes and sing along... too bad the song would be much better if I didn't. I love to sing along in the car, but I can't hit half the notes.

    • I go from MD to Washington, DC frequently
      • I have friends I go to see frequently. I love DC and plan to move there. Really, if you were in the bowels of MD, you'd visit DC frequently too!

    • I remember my first recurring dream
      • My first memory is of a dream I had as a child. My father worked for the government, and I wasn't allowed in many of his offices. I did know that there was a giant 18 wheeler out front of his office building. I had a dream that the truck pulled out, blocking the road so no one could get out. From somewhere in the truck, someone started shooting at the ground. From behind the truck, I could see bare feet running around for no reason. The men my father worked for jumped into the armored vehicles and shot at the truck until all the feet fell to the ground. I never saw faces or bodies, but I remember that the feet fell one by one. It's creepy and haunts me to this day.
