Yes! I am not a professional song writer of course but I do write songs quite frequently. Most of them are written in my head, while I'm doing other things such as working, if working alone, and biking or exercising. Very seldom do I write them down and usually I end up forgetting them.
There have been a few cases where I liked what I was singing so much that I didn't want to forget and so I was thankfully able to commit it to memory. I also play guitar (again not a professional or experienced player by any stretch of the word) When I sat down to play some chords to accompany my song, I found that the first chord I played worked, the second chord worked, the third chord worked and the fourth chord I had chosen worked. it came together effortlessly. Ironically, it is a love song, written during one of the most difficult break ups I have ever experienced. It is a song about the perfect person, someone I think we all wish or hope to have at some point in our lives. It's called "you". And here are the lyrics.

I'm the King of 'staycations'. The last time I went out of town, I went to Montreal to visit two friends of mine and go to an annual party that happens in the city. that was over a year ago. The last time I went out of the country was around seven or eight years ago, when I went to Cuba with a couple of friends. The last time I took a vacation from work was actually not that long ago, it was nice but I stayed in Toronto, so it was more of a stay-cation rather than a vacation.
