- In response to: "What was the comfort food you enjoyed most growing up?" Pasta with pesto. It's our own pesto recipe, without cheese and pine nuts, but with plenty of garlic, basil, and red pepper flakes, and I've loved it since I was 18 months old (seriously).

- Spider?! EEP!
-
When these unpleasant circumstances arise, I either get my dad to kill it, or if everyone else is asleep, which is usually the case when these things happen, I go downstairs, drag the vacuum up to my room, and with a grimace suck the spider up with the hose attachment while cringing at the crunchy, rattling noise it makes as it vanishes into the vacuum.
This is of course only if the creepy bugger (pun intended) is in a spot where I can get to it. If I can't, I go camp out downstairs for the night because I can't bear to sleep in the same room as a spider. You know, in case I wake up in the middle of the night and it's crawling across my face or something terrifying like that...

Everything You Want by Vertical Horizon
Reminds me of 6th and 7th grade when I was pining after this boy I had a crush on who moved away after 6th grade.
Reminds me of camping with my family and my best friend two summers ago. I would listen to it as we drove through the redwoods on our way to the beach.
Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
I swear, Freshman year of college in Santa Barbara this is all I would hear floating through my dorm window.

- I have limited celebrity experience, but I've got pictures with Ingrid and Tyler

Ingrid Michaelson
At a photo-op and signing after a concert at the UCSB University Center earlier this year. She seemed more than happy to stick around and take pictures with everybody. Also, she's got an awesome sense of humor/stage presence when she's performing.
Tyler Florence
At a Food Network Thanksgiving cooking demonstration in the Mervyn's parking lot in Dublin back in 2004. It was a really random place to have a demo, since no one really knows about my hometown (no one ever thinks "California" when they hear "Dublin"). He has very pretty green eyes in person, and was nice enough to sign some cookbooks and take a picture with me even after his press lady was telling people in line "No more pictures." We pulled the "Oh, my grandma would love to have a photo of me with you" card, and it worked, haha.

- Three overplayed songs I love anyway
-
Black Horse and the Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall
This was the first song of hers that I ever heard, back in 2006, and I still love it. Plus it's pretty cool when she plays it live with that little repeater-box thingy (technical term).
Come on, it's a cute song. Who doesn't love singing along to Taylor on the radio? Plus, the video is all Pride and Prejudice-y. Some of us wish people still danced like that...
Just me? Okay then...Sure, she's odd, but her music is so darn catchy! I know I'm not the only one who can hear this song twice a day on the radio and still feel the need to crank it up and belt out the words.
