      • In response to: "What was the comfort food you enjoyed most growing up?" I love the most cliched food there is to love...mac and cheese! But lately mac and cheese hasn't been as good as I remember in my childhood. It's just dry and yellow and lacks cheesy gooey flavor.

    • Friendliness and Boredom
      • I'll name two in brief. I get really upset when people are not friendly towards me (whether I understand their reasons or not) and I can be a bit boring most of the time.

    • Kindergarten jitters
      • My first day of school would have been preschool but I can't remember back that far so I'll start at kindergarten. The entrance to the rest of my formal school education. Honestly I remember holding my mom's hand as we walked to her '95 sea green mercury sable. I don't know what caused me to say this but I just told her that I was so nervous. She chuckled as if I was somehow too young to be so nervous. I think it was the way I said it, because at five years old I sounded almost as if I were an adult going to a really important job interview. The rest of the day I can't remember. But kindergarten was filled with a lot of crying and laughing and trying my best to figure out this whole new world.

    • Divide it amongst yourselves
      • My clone would take care of the things that influence my direct or basic needs while I would take care of my progressive needs such as informing myself about nonprofit work, attending networking events, working with a mentor, goal setting and accountability etc. This way we are both taking care of what the other needs in life.

      • kinky hair.

I came across a collection of portraits by an artist named Ariel. She drew four portraits of young girls with massive kinky hair. I tried drawing what she had drawn on my own note pad and mine came out decent but hers are intriguing. There were full blown afros, curly puffs, frizzy pony tails, and free flowing braids. I look at each one and I can see myself at those ages of 5,6,7, and eight (maybe even nine or ten) rocking those same kinky hair styles. Ariel's portraits brought me back to my child hood where the last thing on my mind was my hair. But looking back at them, I realize how beautiful my kinky hair was. I'm glad I still have my kinky hair now. (Currently wearing wild and crazy mini twists). =D
