- Books Versus Their Movie Versions
-
Often when watching a movie, a character will stick in your head.
The book is always better than the movie, what your imagination can create is always better than what a director can translate to screen. Sometimes, however, a movie will make a book more interesting to read because it will give a different voice and look to the character in your head.

- Things I Have No Patience For
-
One thing I find lacking in todays society is manners. Did the Victorians have it right when they insisted upon manners over everything else?
I have no patience for people who do not take responsibility for their own actions. It is very difficult in this time to find a person who will say, "it is my fault, I am sorry."
I cannot abide parents who do not keep their children civil in public. To see a child in a public place making themselves a nuisance and a parent talking on a phone or otherwise ignoring a child makes me seethe. I would rather leave.
I have no patience for those who think that money can solve all the world's problems. Nothing will solve the worlds problems but people.

- Honey nut cheerios will always be the favorite!
-
mmmmmm...cheerios, their honey nutty goodness calls out to me when I'm starving and want something paired with delicious milky yumminess. I have actually eaten this three times in one day.

- Louie, or how my mom made me another son.
-
My mother started referring to me as Louie, and some of my high-school friends picked up on it. It was a natural progression from Lori and it stuck for the longest time. I even had it on the back of my letter jacket. My BFF from high-school still calls me that occasionally, and it reminds me of my mom, a bitter-sweet memory.
