With $1000 to spend in an hour, there are so many choices.

What I should probably do is go to Home Depot and get a new fridge and/or oven. The oven has been broken for a year, and the fridge seems to be on its last legs.

Or, I should get some fence. The neighbor has threatened our dogs. And his thuggish granddaughter has taken to spraypainting her name all over the outside of their house. Blocking out that blight would improve my quality of life.

But, I'm going to go downtown and buy cymbals. Cymbals are expensive, and I need a crash cymbal badly. I'd like a sizzle. Maybe a china. If that doesn't use up all of the money, I'll get some presents for my friends and family too.

When my phone rings, I almost never answer it. I hope anyone and everyone is not calling. I hope it is a wrong number. I hate the telephone and avoid it as much as possible.

Ok. I don't really want to go to Scotland.

I want to go to Mexico City. It sounds like a truly amazing place. My friend Cali is living in Monterrey and she told me about this like 15th century basilica and a pilgrimage of followers of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

Taking my Mom to Sweden is another dream adventure of mine. Maybe we'll be able to make it actually come true now that she's retired. Her family is Swedish, and it would be good for her to feel in touch with her heritage.

The other place that I long to see is India. I have looked into doing some volunteer work there, even. The problem being there's no one to pay my bills here if I'm over there. I feel a deep connection to Indian and I don't know why. Ever since I was a kid and saw a film about the Jains I've wanted to go to India.
