      • In response to: "What is the one thing you consistently spill on yourself?" Well, it's not that *I* spill tomato sauce. It's just that it's really an alien life form that practices horizontal gravity.

    • What my shoes say about me
      • I'm not. And I'm at the office too. So that says I will never be CEO of any Fortune 500 companies.

But this little practice chugs along nicely. And I can look myself in the mirror and still sleep at night too.

I have shoes too. But some of them are old and some of the old ones have chewed up heels. See previous prompt. :-D

    • Keeping in touch from Baltimore, MD to Normanton, Yorkshire, UK
      • We met on a listserv; we both help others for a living. We had so much else in common, we were surprised. We each had one other sibling, a sister from whom we were estranged. So we adopted each other, she calls me her US sis and I call her my UK sis.

It's not so hard to stay in touch these days, with all those electrons whizzing everywhere and hourlong phone calls cheaper than a coffee. I married an Englishman, she coaches me in how to survive a British spouse. We started the Spouses of Brits Sisters Society. We laugh a lot.

We see each other when we can. I'm over there once a year or so. Her Brit Spouse doesn't fly, so she saved her wages for a very long time so they could come over and go back on a boat. The boat was the Queen Mary II and we both laugh a lot at what we have to put up with to stay in touch. We talked about it over Cunard pillow chocolates.
